Opened less than 3 months ago and already always packed with customers whenever we passed by. So obviously I had to google it up to find out why.
Apparently, their Green Smoothie is to die for. Most reviewers said that they will go all the way there just for the smoothie.
Wow. With reviews like that, how can I not go try right? Especially when it's ONLY a 2 minutes walk from where we stay!
We decided to go there for late lunch, and hopefully, skip the lunch crowd too. But when we got there, looked like everyone else had the same idea and it still took us about 20 mins to wait for a table.
The menu was a single piece of A4 paper. Printed front and back. That's all. No meat. No fried oily stuff. Just plenty of salad salad salad and greens greens greens. Rabbit food. Ha. Oh. And wine!
Not my kindda thing BUT if you're into eating healthy and organic and all that jazz, this is the perfect place for you!
I had to walk to the nearby 7-11 to grab 2 boxes of microwavable fried rice for the kids because there was nothing suitable for them on the menu. Yeah. My kids aren't rabbits.
The restaurant/cafe/eatery is VERY small. Most of it is taken up by the open kitchen where the food & drinks are prepared. And then, at a little small corner, there's a DJ console with a single DJ spinning cool jazzy-ish music.
While waiting for our food, the husband had their homemade orange muffins. A tad too sweet and sticky for me but it definitely had a strong orange aroma.
Naturally, with all the thumbs up reviews, I HAD to order the Green Smoothie. It was a blend of spinach, spirulina, young coconut, mango, pineapples and chia seeds (180baht) and it did NOT disappoint. If I were ever to come back here, it would DEFINITELY be for the smoothie.
Also ordered the well-reviewed Rocket Eggs Benedict. It was great except for the fact that it came only with half a slice of sourdough bread. HALF! How to eat la? I mean, for the price of 185baht, at least give me more bread!
However, even with only half a slice of bread, I licked my plate clean. Because it was good. No doubt about that. And I was also hungry.
The hubby ordered the Herbs Omelette, which came with NO bread. Hahaha! My benedict was tastier.
So in conclusion, we won't be going back again (except to takeaway the Green Smoothie). Not because the food wasn't nice because it IS nice, but because this is not really our kindda food. We're unhealthy like that.
But it's a GREAT place to sit down, order a drink and read a book, or surf the net (free WiFi) or even just chill with friends over wine and enjoy the relaxing music.
