Cafe & Meal

They have branches everywhere - Siam Centre, Silom Complex, Mega Bangna, just to name a few, and they are ALWAYS packed! Everytime we walk pass, there's always a queue right outside.

It never came across our minds to give it a try because 1) we're too lazy to queue 2) we have kids with us so we just wanna go somewhere that's not too packed, eat and leave.

But then a good friend who's been living in Bangkok for more than 3 years told me that their food was not bad and they have pretty decent set meals, so I was like hmmm ok maybe one day we'll give it a try.

Well, that 'one day' came last week after a visit to the doctor's and so happened the hospital was just a stone's throw away from Silom Complex so we decided to do dinner here.

We were lucky too because they happened to have a table for four.

Deep-fried tofu.

Crispy. Juicy. Can't go wrong. And the chili dip was spicy and sweet. Again, can't go wrong.

Chicken Soup.

With white radish and Chinese mushrooms. Great comfort dish, especially when I wasn't feeling too well then.

House Special Omelette.

Now THIS has got to be the BEST omelette I've ever tasted (and trust me, I've tasted quite a lot because Bkk is famous for their omelettes)!

There's a whole page on the menu dedicated to this omelette. You can choose from 10 different toppings to add into your omelette - mushrooms, crab sticks, prawns, sausages, cheese, veggies, etc.

And the wonderful thing about this dish is right after it's done, they drizzle runny yolk all over it! Argh...making myself hungry now.

Stir-fried pork with snow peas.

Don't be deceived by the innocence of this dish. The green cili padis are hidden inside the snow peas as was found out too late. Fml.

Honestly, I wouldn't order this dish again. It was a little too dry for my liking and....yes, too spicy!

Cabbage & bacon.

This dish doesn't need a description. It's another 'can't go wrong'.

We also ordered fried rice for the kids and the bill came up to a total of about 800baht including drinks and rice.

Not bad for a clean place, good service and most importantly, they have high chairs for kids.
